The Blue BorderA QUIET LOVE

A QUIET LOVE

Described by director Till Franzen as 'social surrealism', the story centres on 20-year-old Momme who has to travel to the Danish border to tell his grandfather about the recent death of his father. Unable to come to terms with his loss, Momme is visited by his father's ghost who wants to put the past to rights.

The close collaboration between director Till Franzen and composer Enis Rotthoff led to a film score that enhances the film on its acoustical level by such directions as magic, mysticism and emotional depth. Recorded with a small String Ensemble the film score gives a huge scope similarly to a big Orchestra, just with its own magic tricks.
